An Herbal Tea Internal Scrubbing.

I love cilantro.

Just like with many others… It tastes like soap to me.

I love it though. It feels clean.

And I like to think when I am eating it, it is balancing out whatever crap I have paired it with for a meal… Making it less destructive on me.

But because I don’t cook much these days, I will always find myself with practically a whole bunch of the fresh herb after using a small amount in whatever I made. And it lingers in the fridge till it gets droopy and wilted.

Which is why I started just making a tea with it. Really, with any herbs I have left over from cooking.

Sage… Parsley… Thyme… Rosemary… Cilantro.

I have yet to try dill tea. Or chive tea. Those herbs are easily frozen for later use. But now that I think about it, I do like the juice from a dill pickle jar. So maybe I would like dill tea?

I mean, if I can love the soapy scrubbing I imagine my body gets from drinking cilantro tea… A crisp dill tea surely has to have some benefits.

Yes?

I get up at 5:30am every day, no matter what day it is. I make my bed every morning. I drink a modest amount of coffee while reading two digital newspapers and watching the news. I make sure my roommate, George, has food and water. (George is an Australian Cattle Dog.) Then I can start my day. This is my morning routine.
